2 May 2019 – 17 Feb 2023
We lost our beloved Phoebe Louise on Friday, 17 Feb 2023.
It wasn’t fair. The poor baby had an aggressive and nasty cancer that quickly took her liver and by the time she started showing any symptoms it was too late. We took her to the vet on a Tuesday when they identified the issue.. and second opinion prior to proposed surgery the same day told us that the condition was worse than the first vet indicated. Phoebe came home with us that day was essentially on hospice until her end of days… just over a week later when she stopped eating and we knew it was time.
Phoebe enjoyed inappropriate belly rubs.
She slept on her back a lot, tongue lolling out the side and jowls hanging open.
Phoebe had a downsy tongue when she snoozed and one of my favorite past times was to boop her nose and play keep away she tried to lick me.
Phoebe loved sleeping in bed, near her humans, and snoozing in her dads lap at the desk while he worked. If she wasn’t in his lap she spent a lot of time at his feet under the desk.
She loved the beach and playing in the water in her baby pool in the back yard.
She was an itchy poo with sensitive skin. While she didn’t like her harness or collar she loved going on walks with her people and sister.
She was a people dog–everyone got all the loves.
Phoebe was only three and a half–we had less than half of the time we should have had with her. She was the best poo and we loved her dearly.
