We went to the Lōkahi Music Festival at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center on 10 Jan 2026.
Gates opened at 4:30, music started around 5:30, and the whole evening had that classic MACC feel. Nothing rushed, just a steady flow.
The lineup was decent. Pat Simmons and his son Pat Simmons Jr., Lily Meola, Mick Fleetwood with Gretchen Rhodes, Stephen Wilson Jr., Paul Simon, and Lucas Nelson.
Stephen Wilson Jr. was the surprise for us. We went in not knowing much and walked away really impressed. Lucas Nelson was exactly what you want him to be. Just solid all the way through.
I made the call for us to leave a little early as the MTG pod was doing the Christmas get-together and deck exchange. A debatable decision, but even with that, it felt like we got everything we came for with regards to the event.
The whole event supported the Maui Health Foundation’s Homes for Healthcare initiative, helping provide housing for healthcare workers.
